Works comprised of:

  • Risk assessment before door removal and fire door installation (wall type, building fabric, fitting tolerances).
  • Product checklist and compatibility (door frames, walls).
  • Creating fire door register.
  • Planning the linear gap seal.
  • Door frames or door linings were fitted into pre-formed openings and not built into masonry walls.

  • Installation of intumescent and smoke seals, hinges, locks.
  • Fitting ironmongery to the frame and door leaf.
  • Fitting of letter plates and other ironmongery into aperture cut-outs into the door leaf.
  • Doorstop and door closer fitting.
  • Backfilling the gap between the frame and the wall, if required usage of expanding foam and expanding seals.

  • Making good area around the door and door frame and paint the doors as required by the client.

  • Completing an inspection and maintenance according to the Fire Safety Order.
  • Completing periodic checks for the Client as required by Fire regulations UK.
  • Providing the client with BWF certificate and label (visible at all times).
